About Us

Growing up, construction had enveloped me and surrounded my daily life. With my family being in the trades, I grew to have a strong fascination of how homes were built and wanted to know the brains behind the home design.  While attending Gervais High School, I had initially taken some general drafting courses and fell in love with the concept of creation and how something as simple as linework with a little bit of creativity can transform a blank page into a masterpiece. I then graduated with Honors and received a 2-year scholarship that I took and went to Chemeketa community college. I then graduate the top of my class with my degree in architectural design. 

Locating work at the time proved to be difficult, so I went into the framing trade to get hands on experience and to really find out how a home is put together. While framing I was constantly searching for a job as an architectural designer and was lucky to find a local family-owned engineering company that took me in and taught me the hidden tricks of the trade. Before I realized it, I became the companies lead designer/drafter and soon was being taught the concepts of how to engineer a home. The experice there was truly eye opening and something I could never learn anywhere else. Shortly thereafter, the engineering company moved states and I was on my own. With the mind to creatively visualize and the knowledge that I had acquired through framing and working with engineers, I started my own company TOPLINE Drafting & Design. Here, every client’s vision is taken from the TOP and has a straight LINE to the finish.
